The foundation’s main goal is to commemorate the memory of the Holocaust and pass it on to the next generation. The foundation is active in the followings fields: Documentation of the Holocaust history, organization of memorial events, writing and storytelling workshops to help participants spread their parent’s story, support to Holocaust survivors and the second generation, and fighting Holocaust denial. As the years pass, the number of living Holocaust survivors is diminishing and the connection of the younger generation to the legacy of the Holocaust is fading. After exploring different possibilities, we concluded that the most appropriate platform to help younger people reconnect to the memory is through the internet. We built an interactive website based on a profile for each victim and survivor, thus presenting the story of the Holocaust individually and allowing viewers to connect on a personal level. The ability to find relatives who went through the horrors of the Holocaust, and learn their story, provides a unique aspect to the learning experience. However, the website is not exclusively for young people; you, the older reader are also invited, to participate take part and participate in this important mission.
